An award winning entrepreneur and Fashion Industry pioneer, designer Linda Lundström struggled to graduate from high school.
 
She did however, excel at ‘hands on’ tasks outside the classroom. As a result, she became skilled at sewing and was comfortable running machinery and vehicles at an early age. Linda learned by doing and had strong visual and writing skills but had difficulty with math and sciences.
 
Today, Lundström holds strong views about the need for the education system to identify and maximize the talents of students like herself. Lundström, not knowing she had a reading disability (Irlen Syndrome), went on to turn her garment-making abilities into a career as one of Canada’s best known designers.
 
Building a multi million dollar, state-of-the-art apparel manufacturing company with 150+ employees and stores throughout Canada and the USA carrying her designs, Lundström is proof that her poor academic performance did not hold her back.
